IS ISLAM A RELIGION?

Muhammed's followers follow the 7th century self-proclaimed prophet Muhammad, because Muhammad told his followers to follow him. Muhammad's followers believe he was a prophet because Muhammad said he was a prophet even though he had no fulfilled prophecy, and even false prophecy, to his credit. Muhammad's followers believe he was spoken to by Gabriel and "Allah" because Muhammad said he was, even though not a single person ever witnessed the voice of Gabriel or "Allah", give a single "revelation" to Muhammad. This even in spite of the conspicuously self-serving nature of some of Muhammad's "revelations".

Muhammad's followers believe Muhammad rode on a flying animal one night from Mecca to Jerusalem, to "paradise", and back to Mecca by morning because Muhammad said he did, even though not a single person ever witnessed Muhammad's flying steed. Muhammad's followers believe that while he was in Jerusalem with his flying animal, he prayed in a temple that history tells us had been torn down over 500 years earlier, because Muhammad said he did.

Muhammad's followers believe thousands of years of pre-Muhammad so-called "tradition", penned without reference to any actual historical record that preceded the 6th century AD, simply because Muhammad was willing to declare it in the 7th century, and some of his followers were wrote it down and embellished it in the 7th and 8th centuries.

Muhammad's followers practice ablution and prostrate themselves toward the Quraish pagans black stone idol in in Mecca five times a day because Muhammad told them to. Muhammad's followers travel to Mecca and engage in rituals surrounding the Ka'aba, Al-Safa and Al-Marwah, Arafa and more, as the SW Arabian desert dwelling moon, sun, star and jinn-demon worshipers did, because Muhammad instructed his followers to.

Most tragically, Muhammad's followers believe the exact opposite of the whole subject of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, because Muhammad declared the exact opposite of the whole subject of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So is Muhammad's religion really a religion, or an anti-another-religion, religion? Let's explore the term "cult".

Surah 9.30 The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also].

That's 1.5 billion antichrists, in Islam alone. So what does that make Muhammad's followers who lodge hollow accusations that the Gospel being "corrupted"?

1John 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

Did their own prophet make claims of corruption of the Gospel, after it had been translated into perhaps a hundred languages, copied maybe a hundred thousand times, and had been being read all over the known world for centuries?

Sura 5:47 Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel.

We can see what is revealed in the Gospel from the scriptures above, yet if a Muslim confesses that Jesus is the Son of God he has committed the most egregious, and only unpardonable sin, in Muhammad's stand-alone 7th century religion. Yet...

You would think that would be enough to cause even a staunch atheist to ponder the odds of the Quran, to which about 1/4 of mankind claim to ascribe, and the Gospel to which an additional 1/3 of mankind claim to ascribe, being such perfectly polar opposites.

To our Muslim friends, you could die today. As followers of a 7th century SW Arabian desert dwelling illiterate, and his stand-alone religion that necessarily requires rejecting the whole subject of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, do you really believe you are ready to stand in judgment before the very Son of God that you deny?
